Designed for ease of installation or retrofitting to workboats, buildings and structures, the Hadrian Safety System provides a functionally integrated safety system for inspection and maintenance purposes that satisfies current legislation.
Its four-wheel attachment carriage provides an uninterrupted/continuous safety system for clip-on safety harnesses, allowing free movement without adjustment over the full length of the rail. This is achieved by anchorages that allow the rail to float when fixed to a vessel structure or its stanchions. Its AA25 Marine Grade anodised, making it extremely resistant to corrosion.
The roller harness carriage (or CAR) is a revolutionary design of the Hadrian System running on self-lubricating Delrin wheels that glide around the alloy rail. A stainless steel pivoting take-off allows lanyard attachment angles between plus or minus 90 degrees whilst maintaining the free running of the carriage. The CAR exceeds the safety specifications of EN795 Class D by a factor of two.
The Hadrian Pilot system allows full access to port and starboard without the need to unclip. In "man overboard" situations, one crew member, with the support of Hadrian, can easily carry out a successful rescue.
• Custom designed for use at sea
• Full technical backup for the life of the vessel
• Reduced load on structure & stanchions
• No stretch or snagging (as with wire)
• Free running & user friendly.
Hadrian Pilot meets all of the Personal Protective Equipment requirements of the latest Small Commercial Vessel Code of Practice (SVC) and Pilot vessel-specific prescriptions: 'Efficient' in relation to a fitting, piece of equipment or material means that all reasonable or practical measures have been taken to ensure that it is suitable for the purpose for which it is intended. The SCV Code of Practice Requires TOTAL HANDS-FREE SECURITY.
The Hadrian Lanyard comes complete with a double-action safety hook. It is designed as an integral bespoke part of the Hadrian deck safety system. The Hadrian Lanyard has been tested in accordance with the appropriate procedure TS-HAD15 notified body 0321. Design maximum loading 125kg; factor of safety in excess of 6:1 from actual test results.
General Application
The Hadrian Lanyard supplied with your Hadrian system must not be used for any other purpose or with any other Hadrian equipment. The lanyard length is a vital part of any Hadrian deck safety system's safe, proactive working use.
The unique lanyards supplied by us mustn't be substituted by other non-bespoke lanyards of any type or length. Lanyards must not be connected to form extended length attachments. Attachment of the Hadrian lanyard must only be made to the harness's front sternum "D" ring and never to the
rear dorsal attachment. Failure to observe this will result in serious injury to the user and/or
the inability to perform a self-assisted recovery.
Using over length lanyards to satisfy more comfortable working and movement around the
larger areas of the vessel is deemed unsafe and not permitted by Hadrian. For solutions to
ergonomic difficulties with respect to the safe movement around vessels, please contact
